one of my turtle\'s shell feel\'s slimy everyday. it basks and swims alot and the others dont do much of anything but they\'re shells do not feel the same. its also the smallest one of the bunch, about the size of a silver dollar while the others are bigger up to the size of a chips ahoy cookie. why is it slimy?

The slim could be algae growth on the shell.

I think a little algae growth is ok, but if it becomes too excessive, then just brush it off gently with something like a soft toothbrush.

If the turtle is acting normally - eating, swimming & basking - I wouldn\'t worry about the slime. Like everyone else said, it\'s probably algae.
