When I got her, her plastron was a vivid red
and now it is a dull orange/yellow. Is this
normal? I\'ve heard about this but it didn\'t really give me any info on the topic. Is it
something to do with her diet? I\'ve tryed
feeding her really good color-enhansing krill
and she\'s eating them like crazy but her plastron is still changing. Could this be
like the same case as flamingos? The ones
who eat more shrimp are pink and the ones who
eat less are white? I really want to know whats going on. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

She\'s just maturing out of her baby colors, into her adult colors. This happens a lot with other kinds of turtles. I\'ve seen a lot of Painter\'s with dul orange color. It\'s normal, don\'t worry.

do you have the turtle on any other kind of diet besides krill and shrimp. A pellet diet is highly reccomended.
