Poor diet?

hello there everyone. my R.E.S. feeding on nutrafin turtle pellets. i've heard that R.E.S. eat alot but mine only consume two pellets on each meal and i feed him twice a day... is it normal or is it my R.E.S. ate too little? another question =) my R.E.S. eat the cheddar cheese that i fed him.. is it ok to feed him cheddar cheese?

Not unnormal! =o) Sometimes as they grow the bigger their appeitite.

Our vet told us to be sure to provide a varied diet and mentioned these four items:

turtle pellets
live fish
ground turkey
worms (this is their favorite - we get them at the tropical fish store)

Our turtles did not like the first brand of turtle pellets we tried. Now they like Reptomin floating sticks.

Here is a helpful hint, Ralph.

I feed mine a mixture. Reptomin, small pieces of apple, mushed up banana, boiled chicken, small gold fish and feeder guppies.

My water monster's eat better than I do!

well my res (DaYu)is a glutton! haha.. thn my other res (DaHai)is very shy and only eat frozen-dried blood worm. the supplement pellets and turtle feed i feed DaHai normally float there untouch.. i'm kind of worried bout the nutrients tht DaHai tkae is enough or not...

your turtle may simply not be hungry. just watch him and make sure he doesn't get sick.
