I read on the back of my baby carrots package that carrots are extremely high in Vitamin A. Are these ok to use in feeding my turtles? They seem to like the carrots.

I feed my turtle carrots. Turtles need the different vitamins. Its good to feed them some other vegies too. They need a balanced diet, with pellets, shrimp or whatever other turtle food you want to feed them, and vegies. I also read they become more omnivorous as they get older, eating less meat. I know my turtle loves carrots too. Its so funny, cause his lips turn orange after he eats them, looks like he has lipstick on. Lol.

I don\'t know if they actually have lips, I would guess not. But his mouth is what I was talking about. It turns orange, just something I thought was cute.
