Finally FINALLY I got my two RES, Lestat and Louie all set up in their new home. Lestat seems to have the more heary appetite. He was munching on a rosie feeder fish earlier!! I haven\'t seen either one of them basking yet. It\'s not as if they can\'t reach the basking spot, they seem to be hanging on the other side of the tank right now. Will they find the spot??

Same like the guy with the baby snapper:
3 possibilities:
1. You play with your turtles so much that it gets out enough already.
2. They\'re babies so they might not have found out why to lay still, give them it some time in this case.
3. Turtles can stay in the water for 2 weeks without a need for basking.

I have recently purchased a RES and Eastern Painted and my RES is very very active and loves to bask all the time. Not quite sure if he/she has mastered the art of floatin yet. But they both seem to get along very well and they bask on top of one another. There is enough room for both to bask they just like to stack for some reason.
