I want to know how old my turtle is out of curiosity and to see if his friend is around his own age. Is it true that you have to count the spots on their shell. Maybe I should describe my turtle. He\'s small, cute about 4 inches from the front of the shell to the end. Regular sized head, and yup thats it. Thanx! :D

not really:(
unless u know when they were born it\'s almost impossible to tell..yeah some ppl say u can count the rings but still maybe the turtle had a bad year in which it didn\'t grow normally and then a good year where it grew a lot..it depends on many things too (size of setup, food, health,..)

but if u want, from my little experience i assume that 4 inches has already passed the first year of age..i hope it helps:)
