help identifying my turtle...

Not sure what kind of turtle you have? Come in and ask the turtle community.

it\'s about the size of a quarter, has a dark brown shell that comes up in the center(like a tent), has yellow markings around the shell, and has yellow markinds on the underside as well....

probably not a slider cz they have brighter colors when still young..if u can get another front pic it\'ll be easier to tell..

btw,,very cute turtle and nice name it got:) u may want to read about the setup cz the one u got isn\'t appropriate,,sorry to tell u that:)

hmmm yes stray it has the same yellow border at the edges..but urs is a box turtle (land turtle) while riodan\'s little guy is a semi-aquatic one ???

He never said it was semi-aquatic, so it could still be a box turtle.

And it\'s not an aligator snapping turtle either, here\'s what they look like:

no obviously not a snapper..i don\'t know but the turtle is in a small pond that\'s why i thought it is semi-aquatic

Well, usually when people see a turtle, they automatically think water, even though it might be a land turtle.

Used to be that the only land turtles that I knew of were the Galapagos tortoise and the Box turtle.:D
