I am new to RES. I have a 40 gallon that is home for one RES that is about 5\" across. I have a floating dock (which I guess is bad because of long term shell rot?), and a pretty good filter. I have lights, thermometer, etc. I would like to know what else I could/should add to reduce algae. Is there something I can add like a crawdad, algae eater, etc that would eat some algae or keep the bottom clean? Any tips?
