I have just aquired a rather large red eared slider with the worst mouth infection I have ever seen. It looks fungul but there seems to be a secondary infection as well. I have already begun swabbing the mouth with diluted peroxide and have it soaking in a sulfur solution, changing the tempid water about every two hours. The turtle weighs in at 62ozs. Anybody have a good recommendation for an injectable w/dosage? I have already broken my vet in with my box turtles however he is not sure about this slider and neither am I. I have rescheduled my appt. for the 28th until he does more research. I\'d like to walk in with some knowledge so I can assist in saving this beautiful animals life.
