Which turtle is it?

Remove him from the tank first off. Get him in a dry tank until we can figure out what is going on.

place your basking light over him. Try to warm the area to about 90.

I\'ll see if I can get ahold of Willie. He is an expert on snappers

Water may be clear but you might have a bactiria in there. That is why I asked about the water change

He is just over a hatchling size, right.

If he was weakend by a bactiria or even some of the meds in your tank for your softie, he may not have been able to get on his basking area and was drowning

Stunt try this quick. It is from our first aid pages

11) Drowned turtle:

If your turtle has drowned, they may still be alive but unconscious. Remember, they can be with out oxygen for a long time. Never turn turtle on its back! If you do this, you may eliminate it\'s only airspace left.

Here are some steps to take.

1. Grasp the turtle\'s head behind the ears at the base of the skull and extend the neck completely.
2. Turn it head-down / tail-up and open its mouth. Some water will drip out.
3. After the dripping stops, place the turtle on a flat surface (belly-down) keeping its neck extended.
4. Straighten his front legs and pull them straight towards you as far as they can go.
5. Keeping the legs straight, push them in as far as they will go.
6. Continue pulling and pushing until the water stops coming out.
7. Take the turtle to the vet so they can administer oxygen.

If this happens to your turtle, they usually develop pneumonia which will require antibiotics from a vet.

I found some more info. Seems like you need to get more air into it. If you are not afraid of it biting you you can cup your hand like you are making a fist. Hold little finger side up against turtle and thumb side toward you and blow gently. This is supposed to be how to perform CPR on a turtle without getting sick yourself.
Make sure he is warm. a heat lamp would be good.
I\'ll keep looking

We need to figure out what made him ill. First thing I would do is totally clean out your tank. wash all surfaces. If I remember correctly you had meds in the tank. Don\'t replace them just yet. Make sure you take out that metal pan and replace with glass. Let me know how he is doing in the morning. If he seems better but still slow then things are looking up. OK

Don\'t give up on him.

Keep him warm. Sometimes with turtles looks can be deceiving.

Clean out your tank. I don\'t know what could have made him sick but you need to try everything possible. OK

i posted in another topic yesterday if u were sure it\'s ok to keep the other turtle with all those medicines in..all sites say u have to seperate the sick turtles..u should\'ve done that and most probably that\'s the reason..
i\'m so sorry for ur loss anyway i know how bad it is
