my turtle is turning pink

my turtle is a red-eared slider about 12 years old she looks kind of pink is she sick is this normal

I haven\'t found any reference to turtle turning pink, if you have a picture to post, maybe we can be of better use to you, sorry I couldn\'t help.

There is a disease called septicemia (I think) that will cause the plastron to turn pink. I believe it is a blood infection and it is very serious. There is some info out on the the turtle websites that may help. Look into it, especially if this has happened rather suddenly. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the links. I looked into it a while back when one of my turtles started to develop a pinkish color plastron. It eventually turned to a more orangish color. This is just her natural coloring. She also has red stripes on top of her head. Those were really good links.
