I have recently received two unwanted turtles from friends who had not wanted them, they r both babies one is a RES, the other, a painted. THEY HAVE RECENTLY SUFFERED A DRASTIC TEMPERATURE CHANGE FROM COOL-TO WARM WATER. THESE TURTLES SEEM 2 BE IN A STATE OF SHOCK! THEY WON\'T OPEN THEIR EYES AND THEIR SEEMS 2 BE WATER IN LUNGS AND NOSE (THEY R BLOWING BUBBLES OUT OF THEIR NOSE). WHAT SHOULD I DO THEY R STILL ALIVE BUT I DON\'T KNOW 4 HOW LONG! I called the vet but my parents would not get off of work 2 take them, I don\'t yet have my licensees! Please help! Any help will be appreciated my e-mail address is Vet4animals@ aol.com (aspiring vet)<----please send reply there if possible THANK-YOU!

if they were used to cold water then dec. the temps a little bit then begin increasing it gradually..
for their eyes,,u can use human eye drops but make sure they are ok for animals and keep them dry for half an hour after the treatment..
i hope they get well soon..keep us posted
