I am unfamiliar with the rules about spotted turtles. I find these turtles very attractive and interesting, how ever. they seem impossible to be able to purchase, order etc. is there a reason why or am I looking in the wrong places?

Well, unfortunatly, up here in Canada, good reptile supply stores are far and few, not to mention i dont have my license yet so it is difficult driving around. Hopefully, if I keep asking around Ill find out what the deal is up here in Canada. I think ive heard spotted are protected, and not available through the pet trade:S

Here in CT they are protected and aren\'t found in pet/reptile stores.
