Well my friend recently got a small 1.5\" RES and his nephew somehow made it bleed from it\'s upper area of his shell or body, what should I do?!

Ok he/she probably has internal injury since it\'s gashing out blood from it\'s mouth.

Ok, the bleeding stopped on it\'s own....for now at least. I thought it was dead since it got thrown around the filter without moving. I put it on the basking area and then it all of a sudden moved! Yay....for now. It tends to open it\'s mouth a lot, now. I don\'t know what to do about this since it seems like it might\'ve got hurt from the inside.

Ok I think it\'s dead now......i\'ll leave it on the basking area until tomorrow to see if it\'ll move. I hope it does =(

Well it moved again and breathed widely it\'s last breath. Shortly after it stiffened and is now dead. Sad...now there\'s only one turtle left, it\'ll be lonely for a bit. Thanks for the help btw Dixie.

preserving the shell is mentioned on this site..not a difficult process but i didn\'t do it cz i can\'t stand seing leo\'s shell in there without him being in..i would leave him rest in peace and have his shell on in heaven\'s ponds

no boiling is just one of the ways..it is cruel though i don\'t know who discovered it
one natural way is that the person burries the turtle normally but in a place he could remember..like in the backyard or somewhere..then after some time check it and it should be preserved

One other method (other than acid) is to use fire ants, you bury your turtle nex to a pile of fire ants and check back about two weeks later and the shell should be very well preserved, just make sure you remember where you put it.:D

It wasn\'t a suggestion, just an observation,or comment, I myself would rather just bury mine when his or her time comes.(not for a long time, I hope):D

That\'s how we learn:D, like if you ever stuck a pin into a wall outlet and got shocked, you learned never to do that again:D

It was her friend\'s turtle, and her friend\'s nephew made it bleed, probably dropped it from high up. Poor turtle.:(:(

They are probably jealous that you love your turtles more than them, although it\'s not really possible since they gave birth to you:D
