My red eared slider\'s shell is peeling in several places. He\'s always been very healthy so I\'m not sure if this is a natural process or something wrong. He is almost five years old. I just noticed the peeling over the last week or so. Does anyone know what this is? I can\'t find information on turtle molting so I\'m concerned. Thanks!

Thank you, Dixie! That page is awesome. I found I it\'s normal for RESs to shed their scutes (the scales on their shells). This message board is the best turtle board I\'ve found!
