I\'ve read the posts regarding RES not eating..I\'ve done everything that has been suggested and still my little guy won\'t eat. His tank is 75-78 degrees...I put tuna in and he ignores it, I put in floating turtle food and he ignores it..he\'s active and curious..but I\'m afraid he\'s starving. He\'s no bigger that a silver dollar. I\'ve had him about a week. HELP

he never ate for the whole week? ok listen if he\'s not scared from u then try feeding him by hand..try different things tuna is really messy if u leave it in the tank..some people suggest putting him in a small place where he could hardly move so u will be forcing him to eat..it might work but with my baby i had to keep him in a larger place so he could swim and play while i follow him with food everywhere..try putting green leaves (that will float)..try different types of meat..i tried luncheon turkey and he liked it a lot..
and since he\'s active then don\'t worry he\'s fine..hope he will eat this time

See what it ate before you got it. Maybe it doesn\'t like new foods?

I got him in the Garment District in Downtown LA. No way to know what he ate before.

WOO-HOO !!! Last night I boiled a piece of chicken and placed a small strip (about an inch long) in his tank. I tried to hand feed him, but he would either swim away or pull his head in. But when I got home from work this morning...he had munched on that piece of chicken quite a bit. SUCCESS !!!! Now my little guy won\'t die of starvation. As a reward, I let him out of his tank and let him run around the living room. It\'s weird, but he always runs north no matter what direction he\'s facing when I put him on the floor.
THANKS FOR ALL THE GOOD ADVICE.
