hi, i have two little res and i think theyre only a couple of months old and i just recently got them. I haven\'t seen them basking yet i was wondering if maybe them don\'t know if they are suppose to or they are doing it while im not in the house/room?... And how long does a turtle bask in a day? How long can they go without basking? thanks

well, turtles bask many times in a day and do it for a while. my turtle is so loyal he stops basking when I come in the room, and starts begging for food.

My turtle was a baby when we got her, she almost never got up to bask in the beginning, we were scared for her. That was 2 years ago, she is now 8 inches. And she will only bask when we are not home or my kids are asleep.
