I asked the guy at the pet store about putting my two younger turtles back in the same tank with my old turtle, and he told me that the older turtle will eat the babies. I know they didn\'t get along, and the older turtle bit one of the babies, but is this true?

I was told that if you are egoing to introduce a new turtle to your current pet then you should try to make sure that it is around the same size because the other one will more then likely hurt it or even kill it because it feels that the new one is invading its territory. I think it is true that some make eat the smaller ones. :(

It is true! I know someone who went against the advice of all around her and put a small Res in with an adult Res. The small Res was killed in less than 72 hours. Please never introduce a juvenile with and established adult!
