My Girlfriends Daughter has had 2 red eared turtles for a bout 2 months now with no problems at all.... they are active, friendly and eating well. One of them has developed something on it\'s skin that almost looks like it\'s shedding.... it\'s a white flaky substance that is just below his head on his neck.... it kind of just \"waves\" in the water like it\'s barely attached to him... what is it and what do I need to do to help them.... I would hate for anything to happen to them since they \"reside\" at my house and I am responsible for them.... I do not wish to suffer the \"wrath\" of an 8 year old girl if anything happens to one of them.... any help is greatly apprecited. And so you know... yes I have a basking area with a light and I used the turtle conditioner in the water.... so lead me on here with some advice.

Thanks,
Don

This is just normal shedding.
It\'s white because it is \"dead\" skin.
