baby and adult?

Can I mix a baby res with an adult male res that has had a tank to it\'s self it\'s whole life or will he try to kill the baby?

The chances he will harm your baby are extremely good. Turtles of vastly different sizes should not be put together.

how many inches bigger do u think is too big?

There\'s no guarantee that even two turtles of the same size will get along (especially if you introduce a new one into another\'s territory), but with an large enough space, you can at least try to minimize the chances.

A baby and an adult shouldn\'t be put together. I wouldn\'t put two turtles like that together unless they were of comparable size, perhaps within an inch or inch and a half of each other. I also wouldn\'t do it without making sure they had an adequate size tank/container.

dont totaly dismiss the idea though
thers no law sayign they cant be great freinds
your going to have to becarefull thats all
i have a 3yr old <about 5inches>
and i put a baby in with him
and they are great freinds
they had problems at first
with the bigger one steping on the little one
and the thinking the little one was food
but just becarefull and watch them closely
