I Just bought two res. I just set them up in a 10 Gallon tank the other day. Right now I have a flourscent light until I get a heat lamp. I just need to know should I leave the light on all the time or should I turn it off a night? Also I have one turtle who seems to bask alot and doesnt seem to be eating(or eating when I\'m not in the room). The other turtle spends all of her time in the water doesn\'t come the dock to bask just comes up to take a breath then generally goes back in the water. They\'re are still real young I just wanted to know if this is normal. If you could just help me.

Thank you
Jessica

Turtles need to sleep at night, so lights should be off. (In cold weather/winter a red heat bulb can be kept on at night for added warmth, but that doesn\'t really apply now.) Try to mimic the daylight hours as well as the seasons (slightly longer days in summer).
