Winter?

What about winter?
My red eared turtles are getting pokey, and I don't how to keep them alive during the winter indoors

um, i am not sure what you mean by "pokey," but turtles survive throught the winter indoors just the same as in the summer, as long as the temperature is kept constant and warm. to facilitate this, you should put a heater and a thermometer in your tank. hope this helps!

i dunt understand this .... turtles are reptiles .... and reptiles are cold blooded meaning they adapt to whatever temperature around them right ?

Turtleboy, yes they will adapt, but they will also \"slow down\" then go into hibernation if kept below 60..remember not all cold blooded animals hibernate, which makes turtles different....

Beloved777, I would recommend turning up your heater(assuming you have one)...Your house is warmer int he summer and that helps heat your tank...I turn mine up three degrees for the winter monthes.
