I adopted a red ear slider from a woman who could no longer care for him, his name is Billy. he is a year old and only 2 inches, the turtle that he was in with alway took all the food and he didn\'t eat for weeks according to this woman, well since I brought Billy home he eats all the time and gets regular vet visits since he needed calcium injections. my question is, is there a specific weight that a 1 year old turtle should be and if so what is that weight? Also how many times should I feed him in a day right know he is being feed 2-3 times a day?

As far as I know, there is not a specific weight a turtle should be at because turtles often grow at different rates.
However, the rule of thumb is to feed your turtle once a day until he is a year old. After about a year, you should start feeding him about every other day. Also, you should feed your turtle the amount of food he can fit into his head (not his neck). Hope this helps.
