Too much of anything is no good. Food that\'s high in protein (like shrimp, krill, whilte chicken meat, etc.) should only be an occasional treat; a diet high in protein encourages too fast a growth and can lead to shell deformities. A reputable pellet like Reptomin as a staple and a variety of aquatic plants/leafy green veggies with some cuttlebone for a calcium supplement and an occasional piece of shrimp, white chicken meat, etc., as treats would be healthier for your turtle. (Live food always carries the chance of parasites.)
