Sulfa blocks are of dubious value--does your turtle have a fungus? If not, and if you\'re using it as a preventative measure, it would be better not to. Long term use of sulfa blocks is apt to cause your turtle to build up a resistance to the drug. The calcium in sulfa blocks is also in a form that\'s not readily available to turtles. It sounds like your turtle is looking for calcium, though. A better supplement would be cuttlebone (the stuff for birds). Get some and take off the shell/hard backing before breaking it into pieces and letting a few float in the tank. Your turtle can munch on them when he feels like it. Replace the pieces as needed.
