concerned about my turtle. I clean her tank about once a week, sometimes more, and after a few days there\'s red stuff in the tank. Is this normal, or bad? If it continues Im going to tell my mom and dad. This turtle is a red-eared slider. I dont know how old she is, she used to belong to a family in Brooklyn so I dont know a lot about her. Can someone help me out?

What do you mean you see red in the tank? Is the water red or are there red objects in the tank? Need more info.

your turlte could be sick :(
do you by chance have coloured commercial rocks? they can fade or chip off. hopefully it\'s something like that. if not have it checked out cause it\'s painful for your little buddy. up the temp or encourage him to bask more (make his area quiet void of quick movements or drafts), that may help, but you will need to go to a vet that specializes in reptiles. good luck. it should be ok, just act fast.

Yes, what is red--the turtle, the water, or is the \"stuff\" like worms in the tank?
