I don\'t know if it was his skin or not, it\'s a thin layer white stuff from his legs. It\'s not coming from the water (pretty clear). Is this normal? (just the poor guy\'s legs, no sign of occurence anywhere else) Is this part of a reptile transition?

sounds like it\'s fine. Turtle\'s shed their skin every once and a while and it looks like a clear or white substance. Thier shells will do this too and it will look like a silver or white spot on the shell

My RES\'s skin is doing that too. Around the base of his neck. It scared me, but he is moving around fine and is eating well and there is no sign of abrasion or wounds, so I thought it was natural. I am glad to hear it is just shedding and he is not sick.
