I checked the archives for answers to this question but found nada...

A couple of my turtles have pinkish looking skin, why? Is it stress or are they sick or were they feelin festive and wanted to be red & green for Christmas- I have no clue. Any help would be great!! :)

How are they behaving otherwise (eating well and active?)? Is there any redness in the seams between the scutes (the area/lines in between the plates)?

Certain foods can cause a pinkish hue (especially shrimp--not good if they\'re fed a lot and/or often). But if they are also inactive, withdrawing into their shells and if there does appear to be bleeding in the seams, it would sound like septecemia and would required a herp vet\'s attention ASAP.
