do RES\'s need crystal clear water?

I\'m wondering how clear the water needs to be to indicate that it is a clean enough environment for RES turtles. I have a ~4 inch RES in a 30g tank. After I do a water change, it is clear like drinking water, but after about a week, it is slighty tinted, but still pretty clear. I do weekly water changes but I dont know if i should do more. I already use 2 filters, one underwater filter and also a big Magnum 350 cannister filter. I wonder if turtles like crystal clear water, or if it is not supposed to be as clear as drinking water. I realize that there should be beneficial bacteria growing in the water, so would that make the water a little more dirty looking? I keep thinking about ponds in nature where the water is obviously not crystal clear. Should I still be attempting to keep my water as clear as possible for my turtle? Or is it ok otherwise????

I change mine once a week. That should be fine. My filter however has a biowheel that keeps beneficial bacteria when I change water. Some people do just a partial water change. I usually change it all and just pour water in and rinse it out good pumping it each time, maybe 4 times until the debris is pretty well gone. Every 2-3 weeks, depending on how much waste is in there I take everything out and scrub it all and put it back. I also rinse my filter out good for the weekly changes, sometimes more often and change it for the real good cleanings.
