I\'m sure Mariza will answer you on this, she is more knowledgable but it sounds like the water temp may be too low causing it to want to hibernate. Do you have a heater and what is the temp of the water? Does it have a basking area? You should check out some of these links and really read up on care. http://www.tortoise.org/general/watcare.html

Hey,
What kind of turtle pellets do you use? Red ear sliders don\'t eat unless they think it smells good. I noticed you\'ve only had him for three sumthing months. Sometimes you have to buy different types of pellets because for one thing, they should have a good variety of foods. Second, you\'re turtle might not like it. Try giving him or her white chicken. That\'s how you start to get them to eat. What pellet do you have? Best of luck- Helen
