I was at the pet store the other day and bought a light that said it was 7% UVA and 3% UVB. Is that enough for my turtle? I was given a UVB light before so I never looked at it too carefully, but I was just wondering if that is good for my turtles.

Is it the ESU Super UVB Coil Light? (They give off 3% UVB.) If it is, and your tank and turtle is small, clamping it over the basking area (6-8 inches away from your turtle is good), would be OK. (I`ve read for UVB lights either 3% or 5% is acceptable.) Remember, you do have to periodically replace them (I`m not sure how often). If you have a larger tank/turtle, I think 5% would be better (but both are very low UVB compared to what natural sunlight would provide).
