Thanks to all who have replied to my previous question. Another...I don\'t know if this is a stupid question but while on my 24 hr. drive, I\'m gonna be listening to music. Does anyone know or have any idea on how sensitive the turts will be to music? What I mean is that can it be too loud and hurt them? They will be sealed in a container with all necessary preps. Not like I am shakin the windows of the car, but usually it is somewhat loud. Again, sorry if this is a ridiculous ?.

Turtles have hearing systems, but they lack openings/ears like humans and other animals. They don`t hear that well, but hear lower frequencies better than high ones. They are very sensitive to vibrations, though (padding under the box would be nice as mentioned in the other post). I wouldn`t put them directly in front of any speakers (it will strange enough for them as is being out of their usual environment without hearing any strange muffled sounds), but I don`t think the music will hurt/bother them. Besides, the box will be dark, so they will probably go to sleep.

Make sure you have holes in the box so they have air. Have a nice trip.

yeah, my turtles are in my room and when I play music they don\'t even seem to notice. But, I just bought my container I am going to put them in and I am going to pad, secure and whatever to it the best I can so they can be comfortable. I really hope they\'ll be ok. I do this drive alot and sometimes I feel like I\'M not going to make it!

Ok, here\'s my setup. Leaving tomorrow. I have a container that\'s breathable, I will have a moist, wet towel in the bottom and the container is secured so that it cannot move unless I make it. Will be letting them drink and get wet every few hours or so. Padded as much as I can for limited vibrations. Any last minute advice? Thanks for all previous posts.
