Marbles at bottom of tank?

I just adopted a mud turtle and i put some gravel in his tank but he kept trying to eat it so i took it out.i hd nothing else so i put a collectioin of over 1000 mable that me and my sister used to collect.they are all sorts of colors and work fine with the tank size.wil the mud turtle be ok or should i buy something else to line it with?

As long as they are to big for him to eat you should be fine.

Another option: You can find large size natural gravel at the pet store or even creek rocks are a good choice. Either way I would wash them very good before putting them in the tank.
