A question about mating. I could use the help.

Here you can direct all your questions about turtle breeding and what to do about those eggs you found that your turtle laid.

I understand you must create a spot for a nest for the turtle then remove the eggs into a seperate moist container, then seperate the baby turts from their parents, but when the babies get older can you rejoin them in the same tank?

Hi. Sorry, I deleted your email by mistake. Turtles don`t have parenting instincts. Having turtles with great differences in size often causes problems (bullying) and babies could be considered to be food by the adult turtles. If you want to have turtles together, you want them to be similar species with similar sizes, especially if they`re in a tank, not in a pond, and even then you don`t want to overcrowd them (RES, if that`s what yours are, can be aggressive in confined spaces). Are you building a nest now for your turtle? If you are, perhaps http://www.tortoisetrust.org/articles/Nestsites.htm can help. For incubating, try http://www.gordasturtletank.com/files/breeding.htm or http://www.gctts.org/Egg_Care/ Good luck.
