If you keep the water clean, and your RES` shell is healthy, you don`t need to give him a bath. (If you take him out and let him roam around, however, you might want to rinse him off under some comfortably warm water before putting him back in the tank.)

Since I feed ours in a separate tub he/she gets a \"bath\" at feeding time, if you want to call it a bath.

Weekly I give My Turtles a bath wich consists of a simple scrubbing with a toothbrush. Then I give them weekly eye drops and then I spread a thin coat of vitashell cream. My turtles are healthy and they know that a shrimp treat usually follows.

Each time I clean the pool my RES lives in and change the water, I put her in the sink. When I am ready to put her back in the clean pool, I brush her with a toothbrush under warm water. I don\'t know if this is required, but it makes her shell feel better to the touch and she doesn\'t seem to mind.... so......
