Hi, I purchased two baby r.e.s. in January and today one of them died. I had no idea it was going to happen, it was fine last night (active, eating, etc.). Now I\'m worried about the other one. What should I do to make sure the other one is okay and doesn\'t die too? Also, should I buy another turtle so the one that\'s left doesn\'t get lonely? Please help. Thanks.

It\'s hard to say without knowing a little about your setup. What size tank? Temperature, basking area & light?

It\'s a 10 gallon tank with a 50W basking light. The temp I\'m not too sure about. I didn\'t know there was so much about the care of turtles. Basically, I went to Petsmart told them I had bought some turtles and they said I needed a light, a tank, and some food. That was it. I seem to have to change the water all the time, it gets dirty very quickly. Does this help?
