I like this filter alot but i dont really see it "filtering". I put new water in the tank and some shrimp went near the filter but didnt get sucked up... anythoughts?

is this the canister filter thats outside of the tank, or the one thats housed inside the tank?

Maybe get an aquaclear or emperor. Those babies move water!

I have a fluval and added a powerhead to drive the water with greater force. This made a big difference and has been very effective. Also, try adding a waste liquifier to help out the filter.

I have a Fluval 4 filter - but it\'s only been set up for 3 days. How do I add a powerhead to this to help it along? It is an internal filter. I have 2 regular filters along witha polyester & carbon pads too.
