yea i was wondering the same thing. But i also read somewhere that they will keep eating as long as you keep feeding them. I have baby RES and i try to limit them to 3 pebbles each and maybe some chicken everyday. But every time i go up to the tank they all swim over and look at me like they think im going to feed them.

If I let Joe eat her fill, she would never stop - she\'s a pig! I started feeding my turtles every other day, and cut down on the ammount. In between feedings, I put Romaine Lettuce, Red Leaf Lettuce, Collard Greens, & Dandilion Greens in the water for them to graze on when they want (just a leaf of each!). Someone else made this statement, which made a whole lot of sense: Turtles wouldn\'t get good quality petstore food every single day in the wild, nor would they get any type of good quality food every day - that\'s why we have to be strong, and not overfeed them or they will get FAT FAT FAT, and their shells will pyramid.
