I have a 40 gallon rubbermaid. I feed him Reptomin, with some Reptocal Vitmin D3 suplement. I have a 100 hagen submersible heater, Fluval 3 filter. Also I feed him whole dried shrimp, and sometimes carrots, and once in a while green vegetables, he doesn\'t seem to like it tho. He spits its out. I have a rock for basking, he loves basking.

Do you use a UVB light? Most reptomin is calcium fortified, but check to make sure. You can also put a cuttle bone in the water for him to munch on.

Sometimes shrimp will cause a pinkish tint, although not ususally the dried. I would check him for soft shell just to be certain. Also is his basing rock smooth. He may be scrubbing himself on the rock.

Other than this I have no idea why he would have a discolored plastron.
