I bought a cuttlebone for my RES today, along with a calcium block. I am not quite sure how to use it? Do I rinse it?..should I secure it to something or should I just let it float?

The best thing to do would be to remove the hard part on one side first, then break off a chunk of it. You can just let it float in the water, they should be able to get small peices off if they want to.

2 of my turtles prefer if I put scrapings in their water. Joe prefers the entire thing....

Mt map turtle likes to nibble on it when it is first put in, but once it gets waterlogged and sinks, she won\'t touch it. I have to dry it out and put it back in a few days later!
