You won't be able to tell until the RES is almost 4-5 years old. The babies are pretty tough to distinguish. It looks like you've been feeding your turtle pellets from a cylinder. Please also add romaine or green/red leaf lettuce.
When I first got Roy, he was 4 years old and so stressed from the move that he wouldn't eat for two weeks. The only thing he showed any interest in was scrambled eggs. He Loves them. You have to cook them without oil or butter, the best way I've found is to microwave the egg whipped up with a bit of water in a coffee cup, on high for a minute. Drop bite sized pieces in the water. It's good calcium for him too, but I don't think adult sliders should have it too often. Good Luck!
