Hi, I have a RES about 6-9 months old..its about an inch and a quater..and when I picked him out of the tank..I pushed on the shell lightly..it didn\'t dent, but i don\'t know if its a soft shell..when I press on it u can fee it move. I don\'t have a UVB light right now, because I don\'t have the money to buy a Flourecent fixture, the only thing I have a is basking spot lamb which gives off UVA rays. I try to bring it out to get some natural sunlight whenever possible, but weather hasn\'t been permitting lately..IS there anything I can do??..Either to get the light fixture?...Will Calcium blocks do any good?..any particular foods that will help with this?

Hey. From what I\'ve read, yes, a calcium block will help. I have two the same size as yours that my boyfriend bought for me in NYC, and they\'re both really soft. Get a calcium block and then get a light fixture soon.
