Hey. I'm getting my first turtles and I was wondering what type of filter I should get for 2 turtles in a 35 gallon long tank.
thanks.

For a 35G tank I would get a filter that would clean a 50G tank. Always over size your filter. Also make sure it is a submergable filter too.

I use a small ZooMed submersible for filtering debris, and a small Eheim external canister for biological and the rest of the filtration process. The Zoomed filter is for 35 Gal. and the Eheim is for 30 Gal. I have a small 10 Gal tank and the water is about 5 inches deep. Non of my fish tank is as clear as my turtle tank.

note: it's still necessary to change water every week if you want to provide the best for your turtle(s).

Lots of excellent info there on filters. Goes through just about every make and model.
