help, my RES wont open its eye and it looks swollen. I hear this might be pneumonia and stuff. It is active, but it also like to sleep. Heard this might be caused by dirty water etc.

I'm not sure and somebody can correct me, but it sounds like your turtle is getting to much protein.

try getting him out of the enviroment he is in....put him in a land set up with very little water.....urination and poopoo can be a problem when it comes to getting down the infection

Umm, I bought this "Tetra turtle eye clear". How do I apply it?!?!? It says to put a drop on each eye and 3 in the mouth. Should i scale down the dose since i have baby turtles?? How do i get my turtle to take the 3 drops orally?

Do as it says, the getting the turtle to open his mouth will be a little tricky. if you can get him to stick his head out far enough, if you apply pressure to both sides of his mouth...a very gentle pressure they will open up. But, my suggestion is so you won't get bitten, let some of his food soak in it about ten minutes and let him eat it. That way there is no risk to your fingers.

hello kloud, =)
i'm Ralph.
besides applying the medication
u can add to ur turtles' diet with food with more Vitamin A
this will make the swell go down.
can try turtle supplement pellets.

seems like a bad bacterial infection...

we suggest you quickly refer to the <Turtle Aid> section on the Pet Turtle site... you can identify the exact symptom and follow the treatement given.

and if possible go to a vet!
