Is it OK to hold the turtles under fresh, running tap-water to rinse them off?? ALSO, my turtles sleep underwater. Is this normal??

THANKS!!

I rinse my RES off under the tap water after he has been walking around on the floor, I don\'t do it for long and I don\'t put his head under the water, just his body & feet. It doesn\'t seem to bother him at all. If this isn\'t okay, please let us know! I do keep his tank de-chlorinated though. My RES sleeps underwater too!

Yes it is fine to rinse the turts off in tap water. Actually is ok to have there tank with straight tap water also. It doesn\'t have to be De chlorinated. If you have fish in the tank with the turt then you need to.
