I\'ve read in a couple of places of having self-sustaining fish or plant populations for turtles...I don\'t see how that is possible. I\'ve seen my RES eat 3 feeders in one day...and he\'s only 2.5\" long! Also, wouldn\'t that also promote overfeeding?

It\'s possible... your tank needs to be bigger, thenit will be more difficult for it to catch them. The tank should have more hiding spots where the fih can hide. Fish should only supplement the diet. Maybe you can keep a spare tank for plants and fish. That\'s what I do. But I have heard of people having fish problems - more fish than their turtles can eat. Nice, eh! LOL!

Cheers.

What exactly is needed for breeding feeder fish in the tank?? I bought 24 a month ago and I still have a dozen that they won\'t eat anymore(they\'ve gotten kind of big)....I\'m hoping they don\'t have any babies right now, but I don\'t really want to have to go and buy more fishies for them again.
