I know everyone has a different opinion about this, but how much and how often do you feed your turtle? How do you really know if you are overfeeding?

Ahh, the feeding question.

Hatchlings (under 1 yrs old), I\'d feed them once a day - as much as they can eat in 10 minutes, both veggie & proteins.

As they get older 2-3 years old, I feed them everyday still, but one day veggie, and one day protein (pellets, dried fish or dried shrimp) and occasionally live prey (worms, insects & fish).

Sub-adult, I feed them every second day.

It\'s better to underfeed than overfeed them. Don\'t worry, you\'re not underfeeding them. Turtles alwats beg for more, they are bottomless pits. Don\'t think they need more.

Cheers,
