-I have read from many different sites that by the time it becoms a problem they have swallowed a pebble and chocked. I hate to be so negative, but you may want to get bigger pebbles before something happens.
Looks real nice though, lots going on he probably won't be a bored turtle

Well the camera I have takes the best clearest outdoor pics in the world. And the Worst indoor pics. So this is what I have that it is new scince the move to Tennessee. I have wired all the air bubble hoses/submerisible lights through thte PVC. Mainly because they mess my nice setup and it's a drag to get to. I have both my lights going (Heat and UVB light) as well as a sub. heater (Go Walmart !!!) and thats about it. Oh, yes my Fluval 404 the best $120 bucks I ever spent. Especially after not having to change the water every 2 weeks. Enjoy.

P.S. I'm not happy with the quality of these pics and hope to get better ones soon.

That's a really nice setup. I love the big basking rock, and I see you even have the digi thermometer. That's tight. Keep posting.

neat setup Hewwo2u2
i like the rock stairs too. what size is it?

thanks! yes I do have the digi thermometers...I'm too lazy to look and read the regular ones. I dunno if you can see but I actually have 2 digi thermometers in there. One of them goes to the water and one is over the basking rock. you can kinda see both probes in the first picEarthVsJazz wrote:That's a really nice setup. it's a 75 gal...kinda wishing I went even bigger now! But I think she's good in there for nowdixieee wrote:neat setup Hewwo2u2i like the rock stairs too. what size is it?

well the first turtle tank I ever had was a 35 gal. It just had a rock to bask on that hung from the top. It was rather simple and only took me a few hours. This one took me about a week to set up!
Where did you find your background? All the ones around here are pictures of fake plants..... uh, lame!
I got it at PetSmart, but they have it at the local pet stores around here too. It's a pretty popular background for reptiles, since it's one of the only ones with rocks. It's actually a double sided background..the other side is just rounded river rocks (instead of the flat rocks you see in mine) and theres no sky either. both sides have a few fake plants though, but I kinda like them.

Everyone has such wonderful set-ups.
I don't own an aquatic turtle. I have a Russian Tortoise. I can post a picture of his set-up if ya want. I noticed this thread is called 'Aquatic Tank Setups' though, so perhaps I should start a tortoise one!

I'm sure ppl won't mind if you post your tortoise pics on this thread, but there is a land turtle setup one too... Just in case you want to post it there instead...

cool one
r u sure it's a 10-gallon? looks big for ur baby

oh ok, then that would be one tiny turtle

i got a quick question on it, u see that log that i put in there i bought it at the pet store and its called "grapevine" and the under water part grows this weird algea thats clear but i can brush it off and it gets sucked into my filter, even thought the 4 feeder fish and 2 algea eaters love it it grows soooo fast
like overnight its back, it also grows on the cucumber i put in the tank making it un eatable, where as the cucumber in my feeder fish breeder tank it does not
is there anyway 2 control it?

Hi all.. this is their new tank with nothing in it because... it was only to test if they can climb up and down the ramp... and now they're kinda having fun with it... sooo I guess I'm stuck with them in there for now haha.

Also.. just so you know this is just budget housing for when I go back to my college dorm.. I used:
1. clear (split-lid) file-n-stack bin from STAPLES $20
2. kitchen sink saver from TARGET $5
3. nonslip material (used for kitchen pantries) from TARGET $1
4. black file basket $13
5. Also, I'll be getting 2 tiles from HOME DEPOT. $2/each (I'm taking out that cork board)
TOTAL: $43
GOOD LUCK!
