I am thinking about buying one or two turtles as pets. I just have a few questions. What is the absolute minimum sized tank I should have for two turtles? When someone says an aquarium is 20 gallons LONG, does that mean the aquarium only holds 20 gallons or is that just a measurement for length?

Also, there is a high liklihood that I will be moving in a year or so; how difficult is it to move turtles?

Thanks for your help!

the size of the tank depends on the size of the turtles. the rule of thumb is, for ever one inch turtle shell, there should be 10 gallons of water. and turtles grow fast so i would buy a slightly bigger tank. 20 gallon tank means that 20 gallons fits in the whole tank.
