The dangers of UV-A and B

Post by raczoliver » Wed Nov 23, 2005 8:45 am

I was just thinking, while we try to provide the best for our turtles by giving them UV-A and B light, aren't we harming ourselves? :?: UV-B is well known to cause skin cancer, and recently the same has been proven of UV-A. Not to talk of their effect on our eyes. Or is the radiation we get just insignificant?

You get much more UVa and UVb from the sun than you will ever get from the bulb, so I would not worry too much about it. :D
